We are delighted that David will be returning to Vienna in 2021 as his September recital this year had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 virus.

The performance in the Mozart Salle will on the 25th Anniversary of the SHINE

For those who have forgotten or are too young to remember, David Helfgott was the Australian pianist catapulted to fame by the 1996 film Shine, in which Geoffrey Rush memorably incarnated the tangled story of his life. and received the Academy Award for his performance.

Today, Helfgott remains a major international force on the concert stage where his virtuoso performances continue to impress his legion of admirers around the world

Germany has been welcoming David Helfgott in concert since 1986 and he is delighted to be visiting Cottbus for the first time and to share some of his favourite works including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Addinsell.
